Dietetics Services

More Than Meal Plans. Real Solutions for Eating Challenges.

Compassionate, behaviour-informed nutrition support that respects individual preferences, sensory needs, and nervous system capacity.

When food and mealtimes are a source of stress—whether it's food refusal, sensory issues, or complex nutritional needs—we help without pressure, judgment, or shame.

Why Our Dietetics Services Are Different

We Understand That Eating Challenges Aren't Just About Food

Our Accredited Practising Dietitian (Alex) is also a trained Behaviour Support Practitioner. This rare combination means we don't just look at what someone eats—we understand why behaviours around food happen, and how to address them with compassion and evidence.

This integrated approach is especially valuable for:

Autistic individuals with food selectivity
People with trauma histories affecting eating
Complex feeding challenges in disability settings
Food-related behaviours of concern
Mealtime distress in SIL or group home environments

You don't need two providers. You need integrated expertise.

What Are Dietetics Services?

Dietetics is the science and practice of nutrition and food. At Clarity Pathways, our dietetics services go beyond just "what to eat." We take a compassionate, behaviour-informed approach that recognises food is deeply personal, cultural, sensory, and emotional.

For many people we work with, food and mealtimes can be a source of stress, anxiety, or conflict. We understand that eating challenges—whether it's food selectivity, mealtime distress, sensory sensitivities, or complex nutritional needs—are not simply about "being picky" or "not trying hard enough."

Our approach is different:

We understand the nervous system's role in eating
We respect sensory sensitivities and preferences
We work at your pace, without pressure
We integrate behaviour science with nutrition science
We focus on progress, not perfection

Compassionate nutrition support that honours your unique journey

A holistic approach that integrates nutrition and behaviour

How Does It Work?

Dietetics services at Clarity Pathways work by combining nutritional science with an understanding of behaviour and nervous system regulation. We recognise that eating is not just about food—it's about safety, sensory experiences, relationships, autonomy, and past experiences.

We work with individuals, families, and support teams to develop achievable nutrition goals that respect the person's autonomy, preferences, and capacity. This might include:

Expanding food variety gradually and respectfully
Managing nutritional adequacy without force or pressure
Supporting positive mealtime routines and environments
Addressing specific health conditions through nutrition
Building confidence and reducing anxiety around food

Services can be provided face-to-face in your home, in community settings, or via telehealth—depending on what works best for you.
